Day One Results 
TUCSON, Ariz. (SMU) -- Led by senior Marc Sambol 's 4-under par, SMU is in fourth place at even par through two rounds of play at the National Invitational Tournament at the OMNI Tucson National Catalina Course. Sambol's performance has been fueled by 11 birdies, helping him post a pair of 70s.
The senior wasn't the only Mustang playing well today. SMU as of late has proved to have a deep lineup, and it was no different today as all five Mustangs are in the top 35 of field.
Max Buckley is tied for 14th at 1-over. The senior tied his season-low round with a 69 in the first round. Harry Higgs is tied for 18th, one shot Buckley after carding a 145. Right behind him is Matt Schovee, who is tied for 24th place. Sam Fidone is currently tied for 32nd after shooting a 149.
Final round action will begin at 10 a.m. CT.
