Mustangs Finish Play At 2012 Clover Cup

MESA, Ariz. (SMU) - Senior Jennifer Hooper carded a team-low round of 78 as the SMU women's golf team finished in 11^th place at the 2012 Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Club. For Hooper, it was her second 78 on the weekend as she was the team's highest finisher.

Aside from Hooper, Maria Elena Villamil also ended the tournament ranking in the field's top 50, tying for 48^th with 237, one stroke behind her senior teammate.

Caitlin Pisciotta just missed the top 50 after shooting a final round 80, finishing tied for 51^st after carding a 238 on the weekend. Felicia Espericueta concluded the weekend with a 241, tied for 57^th.

SMU will be back in Arizona next weekend as the team will compete in the Mountain View Intercollegiate in Tucson on March 23-34.
