AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. (SMU) - Sophomores Vaszilisza Bulgakova and Hristina Dishkova fell to Tornado Alicia Black and Peggy Porter in the quarterfinals of the doubles bracket at the Amelia Island 10K Championships.

For the tournament, Bulgakova finished up the singles portion with a 2-1 record, while Dishkova finished with a 1-1 mark. Freshman Anna Kate Anderson competed in her first collegiate match at the Championships and left with a 0-1 record.

Bulgakova and Dishkova posted a 2-1 doubles record and did not drop a set in either of their victories.

This weekend SMU splits its team between the Colorado Invitational (Sept. 27-29) while the aforementioned trio travels to the USTA Women's 10K Tournament in Hilton Head, S.C., which begins on Sunday, Sept. 29.
