SMU Travels To Houston For Regional Championships

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU men's tennis team will head to Houston, Texas, for the USTA/ITA Regional Championships. The event starts Saturday and goes through Tuesday.
The Mustangs will be represented by nine individuals, senior Nate Lammons, juniors Arkadijs Slobodkins, Julio Olaya, Hunter Johnson and Yates Johnson, sophomores Samm Butler (No. 78), Charles Nettlefold and Alex Reinke and freshman Markus Knutzon.
All nine players will take part in the singles draw, while the Johnson twins and the duo of Lammons and Knutzon will participate in doubles play.
SMU is led by Lammons, who has the best record in singles action on the team at 4-1 and shares the top mark in doubles with Slobodkins at 6-2. Reinke will make his collegiate debut.
