LUBBOCK, Texas (SMU/ITF) – Liza Buss advanced in singles play at the International Tennis Federation (ITF) $25K Lubbock.

Buss defeated No. 90 ITA ranked Ksenia Laskutova [RUS] 6-2, 6-4 in the first round of the singles qualifying round Sunday, earning a spot in the second round.

Buss will continue tournament play Monday, as she will face Anna Turati [ITA]. Turati is the sixth seed and is listed 824 among WTA rankings.
