DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU men's golf team finished 12th at the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate, Tuesday, at the Royal Oaks Country Club.
Freshman
McClure Meissner climbed 11 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 29th. The newcomer shot 1-over par (72) in round three to finish the tournament (+3, 73-71-72—216).
Jackson Markham finished tied for 44th (+6, 70-73-76—219).
Sophomore
Daniel Connolly finished tied for 46th (+7, 73-73-74—220), while senior
Gray Townsend tied for 53rd (+9, 73-74-75—222).
Clancy Waugh is finished tied for 58
th, while as an individual,
Piran Adi is tied for 73rd.
SMU shot 11-over par in the final round to bring its three-round total to 873 (+21). Host-school No. 7 Baylor won the tournament at 25-under par (827), while No. 17 Arkansas (-6) and Minnesota (-4) rounded out the top three.
