U19 Men's National Team Roster Release

CHICAGO (SMU)— Freshman Eddie Munjoma was named to the U.S. Under-19 Men's National Team domestic training camp roster, the organization announced Friday. Munjoma is one of 22 players called to attend the eight-day camp from February 3-10 in Sunrise, Fla.

The U-19 team is set to play two friendlies against El Salvador and Miami FC. This camp is the U-19 MNT's first meeting of 2017 and the first gathering since its friendly against Miami FC last November.

"We are very proud that Eddie has once again been invited to play with the US U-19 National Team," head coach Kevin Hudson said. "He's had a strong start to his college career and we are confident he will represent himself, SMU and the United States well."

Munjoma is one of seven players on the roster playing at the collegiate level. Of the remaining 15, 11 play for U.S. Soccer Development Academy clubs, two compete in the USL, one plays internationally and one competes at a domestic non-Academy club.

Of the 22 members called to camp, 20 have previously spent time in the Development Academy, including Munjoma who led his FC Dallas U16 Academy team to the 2015 US Soccer Development Academy National Championship.

As a freshman for the Mustangs, Munjoma started 12 of 13 games for SMU and played 1149 minutes on the pitch. He tallied four points on four assists, including three assists against then-No.16 Akron helping the Mustangs beat the Zips 4-3 in overtime.
