DALLAS (SMU)— The SMU men's tennis team fell to No. 7 Oklahoma State 4-2 Sunday afternoon at the SMU Tennis Complex. The Mustangs are now 10-7 overall on the season and 2-0 in The American, while the Pokes improved to 17-3.

SMU won the doubles point and earned an early 1-0 lead over the Pokes. No. 18 Hunter Johnson and Yates Johnson defeated the No. 2 doubles team in the country, OSU's Cash and Kadhe, 7-5 in a close fought match. Markus Kerner and Tony Russell beat OSU's Finzelberg and Dubinski, 7-6, on Court 3 to give SMU the 1-0 lead.

In singles action, No. 55 Ronald Slobodchikov defeated No. 77 Kadhe, 6-2, 6-2 on Court 2 giving SMU a 2-0 lead. The Pokes fought back and earned wins on Court 3, 1, 5 and 4 to win the match.

The Mustangs travel to Memphis to play the Tigers Saturday at 1 p.m.
