EDMOND, Okla. (SMU) – The SMU men's golf team wrapped up its regular season Saturday, with a 13th-place finish at The Maxwell.
Freshman
Jackson Markham carded a 4-over-par 74 on day two to finish the event tied for 33rd (+11, 73-74-74-221).
Andrew Buchanan recorded a 78 in round three to finish the tournament tied for 62nd (+17, 74-75-78—227).
Daniel Connolly finished 68th overall (+19, 77-72-80—229), while
Alex Higgs and
Gray Townsend finished tied for 69th and tied for 71st, respectively.
The Mustangs carded a 26-over-par 306 in round three to finish the two-day tournament with a 62-over-par 902 (299-297-306).
Up next, the SMU men's golf team heads to Palm Harbor, Fla., for the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championship hosted at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, April 23-25. The three-day tournament will be played on the Copperhead course.
