Box Score DALLAS (SMU) – The SMU Men's Tennis team earned its first win of the spring season, defeating Abilene Christian University (0-1) with a 4-0 sweep Friday at the SMU Tennis Complex.

SMU (1-0) collected its first point of the match by clinching two doubles matchups. Eladio Fabregas and Gardiner Perotti paired for a 6-1 rout of ACU's Niko Moceanu and Jackson Fine, while Charles Nettlefold and Roberto Rosales defeated Brad Gleason and Henry Adams 6-4.

In singles play, Tomas Vaise defeated Niko Moceanu in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2, to earn SMU's second point. In similar fashion, Gardiner Perotti battled Brad Gleason to a 6-3, 6-1 victory.

The Mustangs' final point of the night was recorded by Jan-Simon Vrbsky when he defeated Josh Sheehy 6-1, 6-3.

SMU is now holds an 8-0 all-time record against ACU, with all eight wins recorded at home.

Men's Tennis returns to the SMU Tennis Complex Friday, Jan. 19, to face Harvard at 5 p.m.
