DALLAS (SMU) – Head Coach
Sonny Dykes and the SMU football program today announced the addition of 14 student-athletes to the 2019 Mustang signing class. This is the second season featuring Early Signing Day, with the remainder of the 2019 signing class joining Feb. 6, 2019.
The early signing group includes 12 prep signees and two junior college transfers. Nine student-athletes hail from the Lone Star State, while incoming Mustangs also come to the Hilltop from Louisiana, Michigan, Florida and Utah.

The Mustangs will host their annual spring game at Gerald J. Ford Stadium on Saturday, April 13.
Dykes and the Mustangs open the 2019 season on the road Aug. 31 at Arkansas State, before hosting North Texas (Sept. 7) and Texas State (Sept. 14) at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The final non-conference test of 2019 takes SMU across the Metroplex to face rival TCU on Sept. 21. The American Athletic Conference schedule will include West Division opponents Navy, Houston, Tulane, Tulsa and Memphis, as well as ECU, Temple and USF from the East Division.
