Boston Gilbert, Jacob Cohen, Patrick Michael Hillyard, Garrett McLaughlin, Eddie Munjoma, Philip Ponder and DJ Williams will all be honored. They played a combined 250 games for the Mustangs and leave as one of the winningest classes in school history.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The Mustangs took care of business in Cincinnati on Oct. 26, beating the Bearcats 7-1. Garrett McLaughlin tied a 39-year old SMU record when he scored five goals, setting the AAC record for goals in a game. Nicky Hernandez and Tom Haney also found the back of the net in the win. It was the 10th time the Mustangs had scored 3+ goals in 2019.Â
AAC PLAY CONTINUES
The Mustangs have locked in a berth to the AAC tournament, but are playing for seeding at this point. The Mustangs are 3-1-1 in AAC play, trailing UCF (4-0-1) and Memphis (4-1-0), as all teams have two matches left to determine conference tournament seeding. The league's top two seeds are guaranteed a spot in the tournament's semifinal round set to take place on Nov. 13.Â

He is the country's active leader in points per game (2.06) among players with 25+ games played. Costa's 0.82 assists per game is the highest mark in the country and his nine assists rank fourth nationally.
RETURN OF THE MAK(ELA)
GK Grant Makela returned to the Mustangs for their match vs. UCA and earned his second shutout of the year. The Destin, Fla., native has an AAC-high four shutouts this season.Â
McLAUGHLIN MAGIC
Garrett McLaughlin's 35 career goals are the most among active Mustangs and fifth-most among all active players nationally. McLaughlin tied the SMU record and broke the AAC record when he scored five times against Cincinnati on Oct. 26. McLaughlin shredded the Houston Baptist defense in match two when the OKC native recorded the first hat trick of his SMU career. His 88th minute equalizer at Denver on Sept. 21 pushed the game to overtime, preserving the Mustangs perfect start. He has 14 goals in 2019, the most in the conference and third most in the country.Â
AHLANDER ASSISTING
Knut Ahlander's 10 assists are the most in Division I soccer. The midfielder has dominated on both sides of the ball forcing turnovers and spreading the wealth, recording assists to five different players. The Norway native has scored six goals this season and has 22 points.
MUNJOMA THE MAGNIFICENT
Eddie Munjoma recorded his first multi-goal game in his career vs. Saint Louis. He recorded his second multi-goal game on Oct. 18 when he netted two goals vs. Memphis. He recorded a second-straight brace vs. Stetson four days later. His 10 goals are the third most in the nation.
