AUSTIN, Texas (SMU) – Parker Hardigree closed competition at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the Lee & Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday. The freshman was making his first career appearance for the Mustangs.
Hardigree competed on both 1 and 3 meter in postseason action, but did not qualify for this month's NCAA Championships.
He earned his highest placement of the event on 3 meter, finishing 22nd with a six-round 299.30. On 1 meter, he finished 24th overall with a final score of 262.85.
The freshman finishes out a successful first campaign that saw him earn American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Diver and Co-Freshman of the Year honors at the league championships earlier this month. He posted season-best scores at the event to win both the 1 and 3 meter, while taking home third place on platform.
