ATLANTA (SMU) – SMU Men's Swimming and Diving wrapped up the fifth day of competition at the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships on Thursday at the McAuley Aquatic Center, highlighted by a seventh-place finish in the 200 free from freshman Francis Brennan.
Through the fifth day of competition, the Mustangs currently rank tenth with a team score of 275.

Notable Results
400 IM
Andy Baklanov made his first ACC finals appearance after posting a time of 3:46.81 in the 400 IM preliminaries. In the C finals, the freshman swam a faster time of 3:45.06 to finish 20th overall.
Leonardo Pelaez also swam the 400 IM, touching the wall in 3:51.46 to place 37th.
100 Fly
Nico Sobenes recorded a time of 46.99 in the 100 fly preliminaries, finishing 32nd overall.
200 Free
Two Mustangs competed in the finals for the 200 free. Francis Brennan made an appearance in the A finals after throwing down a time of 1:32.35 in a preliminary heat. In the A finals, he touched the wall in 1:32.45 to finish seventh overall. The freshman set the school record for the event on Tuesday, posting a leadoff time of 1:32.31 in the 800 free relay.
Captain Jack Forrest swam in the 200 free C finals after recording a preliminary time of 1:34.30. The senior improved his time in the finals, finishing in 1:33.96 and placing 20th overall. The performance puts him in fourth on SMU's All-Time Top Performers list.
In preliminary heats, Eli Likins and Aubrey Jaya posted times of 1:35.60 and 1:35.75, respectively. Benjamin Chateigner touched the wall in 1:36.36 and Jack Moore logged a time of 1:36.64. Jack Berube threw down a time of 1:38.30 while George Gonzalez recorded a time of 1:38.61.
