DALLAS, Texas – The SMU men's soccer program has announced its sixth annual Winter ID Camp will be held January 15-16. The camp is designed for high school juniors through junior college players who are serious about competing at the highest level of collegiate soccer. Attendees will experience world-class facilities and nationally acclaimed college coaching.
The camp is designed to give players a feel for what it's like to compete at SMU, a traditionally top-25 ranked soccer program. SMU Head Coach
Kevin Hudson and his coaching staff will run all sessions, offering the same training and coaching their student-athletes receive throughout the season. Sessions will take place on one of the best college soccer surfaces in the US at the Washburne Soccer and Track Stadium.
Top-tier college coaches from around the region will be invited to attend the camp for evaluating and recruiting purposes. Invited programs will include some of the best NCAA Division I, II, and III schools in the nation.
In addition to on-field training and collegiate exposure, campers will have the chance to learn about the college recruiting process. The SMU coaching staff will host a recruiting panel discussion where they will answer questions and offer advice to the players. Coach Hudson and his team hope to give each camper the opportunity and tools necessary to compete at the highest level of college soccer.
The camp is open to boys grades 11 and up. Specific goalkeeper training and coaching will be offered.
Registration is currently open. Registration, a tentative schedule, and additional information can be found
