SMU Track & Field travels to Fort Worth for the second outdoor meet of the season, the TCU Invitational. The meet is scheduled for Saturday at the Lowdon Track & Field Complex.

The one-day meet begins with the first Mustang event, the high jump, at 11 a.m. and wraps up with the 4x400 at 5 p.m. Along with the Mustangs and hosts TCU, Â also slated to compete are Arkansas State, North Texas, Northwestern State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and UT-Arlington.

The Mustangs opened the season on March 6 at the Longhorn Invite setting six program top-10 marks and eight personal bests. It was the Mustangs first Outdoor meet since the 2019 NCAA Championships almost two years ago.Â

MUSTANG TOP 10s

Funminiyi Olajide recorded the second best long jump in program history with a clearance of 6.30, only 0.13 off the best program mark. Olajide would finish first among the collegiate competitors.

Raelyn Roberson also posted a top-10 long jump with a 5.80m jump, eighth best at SMU.

Jordanae Scott posted the sixth-ranked time from an SMU team (46.62).

Ashton Woods new personal best in the 200m was good for a top-10 SMU time (24.44).

Jordanae Scott posted SMU's sixth fastest 100m with a time of 11.88.

Olivia Dobson's distance of 42.10m in the javelin was good for a third place finish at the meet and an SMU top-10.
Current Mustangs hold 18 spots in the SMU career top-10 record book. Along with the 2021 additions,
Chelsea Francis is in both the 100m and 200m top 10.
Chika Iwuamadi holds the programs best ever 400m time of 52.70.
Tess Misgen set a top-10 in the 800m back in 2018.
Ashton Woods used a 400m time 1:00.02 to qualify for the 2019 Regionals, the second best career SMU time.
Cassie Ackemann's top high jump of 1.73 ties for ninth.
Atipa Mabonga has the program's sixth best triple jump while
Olivia Witt set a top-10 Heptathlon at the 2019 AAC Championships. Five of the top-10 4x100 times have current Mustangs among the squad as well as two 4x400 teams.Â

Early in the Outdoor season, the Mustangs have eight marks that rank among the top-25 nationally. Â The top-48 athletes in each of the two regions qualify for the NCAA Regionals. The Mustangs' NCAA West Regional is slated for May 27-29 in College Station, Texas.
