SMU Track & Field heads to Denton for the North Texas Classic on Saturday from the UNT Track & Field Stadium. The meet begins at 10:00 a.m. for the Mustangs and wraps up at 6 p.m.

Last time out, the Mustangs competed in the Texas Relays and the Bobcat Classic. SMU posted four program top-10s, 11 personal best and six season's best across the three days of action from San Marcos and Austin.
 
Ashton Woods broke the program record in the 400m hurdles two separate times during the Texas Relays. Her final time of 58.31 is more than a second faster than the next best time at SMU.
 
Funminiyi Olajide leads the conference in the long jump with a best distance of 6.30m, 0.20m better than the next closest competitor. Her longest jump is also good for second best in SMU history. Woods' best time of 58.31 in the 400m Hurdles is tops in the conference as well.

The NCAA West Prelims are set for May 27-29 at in College Station. The top 48 student-athletes in the region in each event (other than the Heptathlon – top 24) will be accepted along with the top 24 relay teams.
