DALLAS (SMU) – SMU women's tennis'
Hadley Doyle was named American Conference Player of the Week following the Mustangs' 5-2 win at No. 40 Tulsa on March 12, the league announced Tuesday.
The team win marked SMU's first road win against Tulsa since Feb. 6, 2010.
On court two, Doyle notched a 6-0, 6-1 victory improving her SMU career singles record against Tulsa to 2-0.
Doyle, along with doubles partner
Jackie Nylander, remain unbeaten in dual doubles, improving to 4-0 this spring with a 6-4 win over Tulsa's Berlanga/Valeryia Rozenkova, handing them their fourth loss of the year and first loss to an American Athletic Conference opponent this spring.
The award marks the second of Doyle's Mustang career, following an all-conference-worthy sophomore campaign in which she notched a team-high 18 wins.
SMU (8-6, 3-0 AAC) resumes dual competition at 2 p.m. today at Tulane.
