DALLAS – After a hard-fought match, the No. 42 ranked Mustangs fell to No. 3 TCU 4-1 in Dallas. Pranav Kumar and Liam Krall shined for SMU in the losing effort. The Mustangs drop to 11-6, while TCU improves to 16-2.
 
TCU jumped out to an early lead, winning the doubles point with victories on courts one and three. The Horned Frogs' No. 6 ranked doubles pair defeated Adam Neff and Ivan Thamma 6-2 on court one. The Mustangs played very tight matches on the other two courts, but TCU secured the point with a 6-4 win on court three. Krall and Kumar were up a break and leading TCU's No. 4 ranked, 11-1 doubles duo 6-5 when the clinch occurred.
 
TCU extended its lead to 2-0 with a straight set victory on court No. 3 from their 49^th ranked Jake Fearnley. The Mustangs responded with a straight set victory of their own, as Kumar dominated 6-1, 6-4 on court four. The graduate senior is now 6-1 at the No. 4 line.
 
The Horned Frogs once again extended their lead to two with a straight set victory on court six. They finished the match by winning in a tight battle on court two, 7-5, 7-6. No. 89 Sander Jong defeated Adam Neff in the match.
 
Krall played an outstanding unfinished match at the No. 1 line against No. 14 ranked Luc Fomba. SMU's sophomore was serving down 2-3 in the third set after splitting the first two with Fomba (5-7, 6-3). Ivan Thamma was also in a third set on court five when play concluded.
 
Upcoming Matches
SMU is back in action on Friday, March 25^th as they travel to Orlando, Florida to take on the No. 48 UCF Knights at 4:00 P.M. They will return home for an April 1^st match against Temple.
