ATLANTA (SMU) –
Parker Hardigree headlined the Mustangs' first day of competition at the NCAA Championships with his All-American performance on 1-meter diving.
Colin Feehery also posted a school record in the 200 IM this morning.
Feehery and
Cotton Fields got the day started with the 200 IM prelims. Fields took the pool first in heat three. The Freshman finished third in his heat with a time of 1:44.67, just four hundredths of a second off his personal best. This was good for 41
st overall. Feehery took the pool in heat four and raced to a school record of 1:44.01, good for 35
th in the field of 58.
Hardigree concluded the day for SMU on 1-meter diving. The senior finished prelims in 15
th place out of 47 divers with a score of 332.55. He advanced to the Consolation Finals where he finished 5
th out of 8 divers with a score of 342.60, placing him in 13
th overall for the 1-meter championships. Hardigree's performance earned him Honorable Mention All-American honors. He becomes the 28
th 1-meter All-American at SMU.
