MADISON (SMU) – With his 5^th place finish in platform diving, Peter Smithson propelled himself into the NCAA Championships for both platform and 3-meter diving.

Smithson, the 2022 American Athletic Conference Most Outstanding Diver, put up his best career NCAA Zones platform performance today with a combined prelim and final score of 681.55. This was good for 5^th place, qualifying the junior for the NCAA Championships in platform and also 3-meter, which he finished in 12^th place in on Monday. This is Smithson's third consecutive season qualifying for the championships.
