DALLAS (SMU) - SMU opens the dual-match season by hosting Abilene Christian and UIW at the Styslinger/ Altec Tennis Complex on Thursday. 
 
SMU will face the Wildcats on Thursday at 11 a.m. followed by the first meet up in dual matches with the Cardinals at 5 p.m.
 
Thursdays matches mark the Mustangs first home competition since the Red & Blue challenge on Oct. 16 where the team won 22 out of 26 matches played.
 
SMU is returning eight members of the 2022 team, which made it to the AAC semifinals. Senior Hadley Doyle, who is ranked in the ITA singles top 125. Senior Lana Mavor and junior Winslow Huth, ranked 38 in the doubles ITA rankings. Senior Jackie Nylander and newcomer graduate Taylor Johnson who are ranked 32 in the ITA doubles rankings. Junior Maja Makoric arrived at Hilltop in August after completing two years at Nebraska.
