DALLAS (SMU) — With a time of 3:43.16, Cotton Fields became SMU's second all-time fastest performer in the 400IM during Friday's portion of the SMU Invite. The NCAA B-Cut time also secured Fields the No. 1 spot in the event final.
Chris Mykkanen, who won the 500 free final (4:19.18) in Thursday's portion of the invite, won the 200 free finals with a time of 1:34.12, earning a B-Cut for the Mustangs.
In the diving well, Tyler Coffey finished fourth on 1 meter with a final score of 309.95. John Dymond also represented SMU, posting a score of 283.55 to earn eighth.
The Mustangs took first in the 200 medley final, with Jack Easton, Joe Rusnock, Russell Exum and Lance Butler combining for 1:25.39, another B-Cut for SMU.
