DALLAS- SMU women's tennis remains undefeated at the Styslinger/ Altec Tennis Complex with a 4-0 sweep over Kansas State Friday afternoon. SMU won the doubles point and the next three singles matches, never dropping a set.

On Court 3, Hadley Doyle and Lana Mavor picked up the first victory with a comfortable 6-2 result on Court 3. The win puts the duo back in the win column after suffering their second loss of the year in the last match.

On Court 1, the new doubles pairing of Jackie Nylander and Maja Makoric faced a deciding deuce point in match point where Makoric dominated net point leaving Rozalia Gruzezynska and Florentine Dekkers lost for answers as the SMU pair picked up a 6-1 victory.

On Court 2, the other new doubles duo of Drew Morris and Taylor Johnson were put in a similar situation with a deciding deuce point in match point but unfortunately the point went Kansas States way forcing the match to go unfinished with SMU leading 5-3.

In singles play, SMU battled Kansas State, winning five out of the six first sets.

On Court 1, Hadley Doyle started with a slow start against Florentine Dekkers getting down 1-3. Doyle had five unanswered games resulting in taking the first set, 6-3. From then on, Doyle was in complete control of the match, winning the second set 6-1 and advancing the Mustangs lead.

Drew Morris was the second match to finish as she cruised past Rosanna Maffei 6-1, 6-0. Morris pushed the Mustangs to a 3-0 lead over the Wildcats.

For the second week in a row, Taylor Johnson clinched the win for the Mustangs. Johnson defeated Vanesa Suarez 6-3, 6-3 to continue the undefeated streak for the Mustangs.

SMU is back in action Sunday, Feb. 26 as the team travels to Lawrence, Kansas to take on the No. 21-ranked Kansas Jayhawks.
