WACO, Texas (SMU) — SMU Men's Tennis wrapped its weekend at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Championships in Waco, Texas, Saturday.
In the singles bracket, Trevor Svajda highlighted the weekend by winning his first two matches in the main draw to advance it to the round of 16. With Svajda, Maks Silagy also earned an automatic bid to the singles main draw, but his road ended in the round of 64.
Freshmen duo Xavier Calvelo and Noah McDonald both won two of their singles qualifying matches to make the main draw. McDonald advanced to the round of 32, while Calvelo's campaign ended in the round of 64.
In the doubles bracket, both of SMU's pairings advanced to the round of 32.
