DALLAS (SMU) — SMU Men's Tennis hosted the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge at the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex, Thursday through Sunday. Including the Mustangs, 15 teams competed in the tournament.

"It was great to be able to play at home and host more than 100 matches this weekend," said Head Coach Grant Chen. "Playing at home against the vast field of opponents helped us prepare as we enter the final stretch of fall season." 

The Mustangs' freshmen duo shined as Xavier Calvelo collected three singles wins, while Noah McDonald earned two singles wins through the weekend.

"I give my props to our freshmen duo, Calvelo and McDonald. They showed gutsy performances through the weekend," said Chen.
