DALLAS (SMU) – No. 15 SMU Men's Soccer will host Boston College to begin its first Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, Wednesday.

The Mustangs will enter the tournament as the fourth seed after ending its inaugural ACC regular season with a 4-2-2 conference record and 14 points. Boston College was seeded no. 13.

Mustangs vs. Eagles

• This match will be the fourth meeting between the Mustangs and Eagles and their first meeting in Dallas.
• The Mustangs and Eagles' second meeting was in the 2002 NCAA Tournament. No. 6 Boston College advanced on penalty kicks.
• Their previous meeting was in 2015 when the Mustangs fell 4-3 in Boston. The match was Kevin Hudon's first road match as a head coach.
• The Eagles lead the series 0-2-1 with all three previous matches played in Boston.

ACC Tournament Debut

• No. 15 SMU clinched the no. 4 seed in the tournament with a 3-2 win at Louisville on Friday.
• The fourth-seed Mustangs will host no. 13 seed Boston College in the first round of their inaugural ACC Championships.

Mustangs' Regular Season Finale

• No. 20 SMU Men's Soccer won 3-2 at Louisville in its regular season finale, Friday.
• Nikola Djordjevic scored his first goal of the season to win the five-goal thriller. Brock Pope netted his first SMU goal while Milton Lopez scored his fourth of the season.
• Kyran Chambron Pinho made his fourth season assist to serve Pope's first goal for SMU.
• With the win, SMU has clinched the right to host their first-round Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament match on Nov. 6.

Last Time At Washburne Stadium

• No. 21 SMU Men's Soccer won 3-0 over Wake Forest on Senior Night at Washburne Stadium, Oct. 25.
• Bailey Sparks, Enzo Panozzo and Kyran Chambron Pinho scored in the shutout win. Nikola Djordjevic made his fifth assist of the season on Panozzo's goal and drew the penalty kick on Sparks' goal.
• Martin Dominguez saved a penalty in the 74th minute and earned his fourth career clean sheet.

SMU vs Top 25 Opponents

• SMU is 2-2-3 against top-25 opponents after falling at No. 23 NC State on Saturday.
• No. 23 NC State was SMU's seventh top-25 opponent this season. This is most number of ranked opponents the Mustangs have faced in a single season under Kevin Hudson.
• No. 5 Stanford, who they drew against, was the highest-seeded team that the Mustangs have gone against this season.
