CLEMSON, S.C. (SMU) – The SMU men's tennis team fell 5-2 against Clemson at the Duckworth Family Tennis Facility on Sunday.
SMU moves to 8-4 on the season after going 2-1 on the weekend. Clemson improves to 4-4 on the year.
Maks Silagy earned his eighth singles win of the season, defeating Clemson's Stewart Aronson (0-6, 6-1, 6-3) for SMU's first point.
Adam Neff also picked up a singles win. The senior took home his match against Wissam Abderrahman in straight sets that were both won on tiebreakers.
The captain duo of Neff and
Huntley Allen came away victorious against No. 33 Max Smith and Noa Vukadin on court one of doubles play. The Tigers would go on to win the remaining matches and claim the team doubles point.
SMU returns to action on Sunday for a dual match with Baylor at the Hurd Tennis Center. Sunday's match in Waco, Texas, is set to begin at 1 p.m. (CT).
