DALLAS (SMU) – Fourteen Mustangs were named recipients of the 2025 1A FAR Academic Excellence Award. This award recognizes these outstanding student-athletes for their significant accomplishments in the classroom while competing at the highest level of college sports.
The Award is given annually to student-athletes who graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.80 or above and have participated in at least two years of NCAA intercollegiate athletics at a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) institution.
The Award recipients, nominated by their institutions, are student-athletes from the 10 FBS conferences and the FBS independents. The full list is available on our website:
