DALLAS (SMU) – [RV/25] SMU is set to battle [23/17] Texas A&M at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center on Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25 at 9 a.m. 

The last time the Mustangs and the Aggies met was last season in College Station, Texas for Texas A&M's Last Chance Meet on Feb 27-March 1. In the 200 back, Asher Good earned an NCAA B Standard and eighth place on the SMU All-Time Top Performers list with his time of 1:43.60.

In the season opener against Oklahoma Christian and Incarnate Word, the Mustang divers got to work, claiming four NCAA Zone Cuts. On 1-meter, sophomore Luke Sitz (370.25) and freshmen RJ Snyder (313.35) and Grant Cates (331.25) all scored well enough to qualify for the NCAA Zone Diving Championships. On 3-meter, Snyder also nabbed an NCAA Zone Cut, scoring a 326.00. On 1-meter, Luke Sitz ranks seventh in the country and leads the ACC. The sophomore also places first in both the nation and the conference on 3-meter. In this season's SMU Classic, Sitz earned himself a zone cut on 3-meter with a score of 408.25. Sitz and Snyder have also each earned ACC Diver of the Week honors this season. All three Mustangs have punched their ticket to compete at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships on March 9-11 in College Station, Texas.

Currently, the Mustangs have seven times in this season's NCAA top-25 times list. In the 800 free relay, the squad consisting of Sungail/Chateigner/Forrest/Brennan currently holds 13th place in the nation with a conference-leading time of 6:25.10. In the 200 free, freshman Francis Brennan ranks 23rd in the country with a time of 1:35.14. Captain Jack Forrest recorded a 9:13.62 in the 1000 free, good for 23rd nationally. 

Freshman Andy Baklanov has the 22nd fastest time in the nation in the 200 back with a time of 1:43.81. This performance also earned him ninth on SMU's All-Time Top Performers list in this event. Baklanov's time of 3:51.45 in the 400 IM places him 14th in the nation. The team of Sungail/Chateigner/Berube/Brennan threw down a time of 1:20.45 in the 200 free relay, earning them 20th nationally. Jack Berube ranks 25th in the 200 back nationally, touching the wall in 1:43.93.
