CHARLOTTE, N.C. (ACC/SMU) – SMU All-American diver Luke Sitz has been named ACC Co-Diver of the Week after his double-win performance against No. 23 Texas A&M, announced the conference in a release on Tuesday.

Sitz is coming off a dominant performance at last week's dual meet against No. 23 Texas A&M, sweeping both diving events. On the first night of competition, the sophomore claimed victory on 3-meter, earning a mark of 375.23. The next day, he secured his sweep with a score of 359.03 on 1-meter.

While those performances would have qualified him for the NCAA Zone Championships, Sitz already earned NCAA Zone Cuts on 1-meter and 3-meter earlier in the season. This is the second consecutive meet that Sitz has won both of his events.

This accolade marks the eighth time the Texas native has earned a conference weekly honor, being named ACC Diver of the Week a conference-record six times last season. As a freshman, Sitz earned seventh on 1-meter at the NCAA Championships, earning him First Team All-America accolades. At the ACC Championships, he nabbed a silver medal on 3-meter and a bronze medal on 1-meter.

Luke Sitz and the rest of the SMU Swimming and Diving team will be back in action at home on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. to compete in a double-dual meet against Arizona and TCU.
