400 Medley Relay
The squad of Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Sage Sungail and Benjamin Chateigner claimed the victory in the first event, defeating the Aggies with a time of 3:10.81.
Thad Austin, Trey Clervi, Nico Sobenes and Eli Likins earned fourth place, touching the wall in 3:14.05. In an exhibition, the team of Asher Good, Ben Longeway, Aidan Arie and George Gonzalez threw down a time of 3:19.19.
1000 Free
Leo Pelaez took home fourth in the 1000 free, recording a 9:12.37. Mark Van Eybergen followed closely behind, nabbing fifth with a time of 9:13.13. Captain Jack Forrest took sixth after posting a 9:15.37. In an exhibition, Aubrey Jaya registered a time of 9:16.27.
100 Back
Jack Berube earned his second victory of the night in the 100 back, throwing down a time of 47.32.Â
The Mustangs secured the podium sweep with Andy Baklanov earning second with a 48.58 and Thad Austin nabbing third after recording a 48.87.
100 Breast
Kristaps Mikelsons came in third in the 100 breast, touching the wall in 54.03. Joe Umhofer earned himself fifth, posting a time of 55.15. Freshman Trey Clervi recorded a 56.17, finishing sixth. In exhibitions, Ben Longeway recorded a 56.31 and Ewan Lonergan threw down a 58.46.
200 Fly
Ryan Peckham claimed third for the Mustangs, recording a time of 1:47.98. Nico Sobenes followed with a time of 1:49.01. Closely behind was freshman Zach Power, touching the wall in 1:49.04. In an exhibition, freshman Aidan Arie posted a time of 1:52.96.
100 Free
Benjamin Chateigner earned second place for SMU, touching the wall in 44.02. Captain Sage Sungail put up a time of 44.20 to place third. Francis Brennan finished fifth, posting a 44.64.
In exhibitions, Eli Likins threw down a time of 45.21 and Harold Lockhart earned a 44.63. Additionally, George Gonzalez touched the wall in 44.77 and Aubrey Jaya recorded a 45.97. Cameron Thompson finished in 46.41.
200 IM
Andy Baklanov earned fourth place with a time of 1:48.72. Jack Moore put up a time of 1:49.21 and Kristaps Mikelsons followed with a 1:49.32.
In an exhibition, Ben Longeway earned a time of 1:56.08 and Asher Good posted a 1:48.48. Joe Umhofer finished the exhibition in 1:54.18 and Trey Clervi in 1:57.19.
200 Free Relay
The team of Sage Sungail, Benjamin Chateigner, George Gonzalez and Jack Berube claimed second in the 200 free relay, posting a time of 1:20.46. The squad of Eli Likins, Thad Austin, Aidan Arie and Cameron Thompson finished fourth after recording a time of 1:22.92.
3-Meter Diving
Sophomore captain Luke Sitz earned his second consecutive 3-meter victory, scoring a 375.23.Â
Platform (Exh.)
Freshman Grant Cates nabs an NCAA Zone Cut in a platform exhibition, securing his second NCAA Zone Cut of the season with a score of 377.70. In the same exhibition, RJ Snyder scored a mark of 275.93.
