200 Medley Relay
The team of Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Sage Sungail and Benjamin Chateigner finished in 1:27.83, placing fifth.Â
500 Free
Senior Jack Forrest placed third in the 500 free after finishing in 4:24.95. Freshman Francis Brennan recorded a time of 4:25.98 in the consolation heat.
200 Breast
Kristaps Mikelsons recorded a time of 2:02.03 in the 200 breast, earning fourth place. Sophomore Ben Longeway competed in the consolation heat, posting a time of 2:04.23.
200 Back
Freshman Andy Baklanov led his consolation heat, finishing the 200 back in 1:43.81. His time puts him in SMU's all-time top-10 performers list, tying for ninth alongside recent graduate Russell Exum (2024). Jack Berube placed third overall, throwing down a time of 1:43.93.
3-Meter Diving
Sophomore Luke Sitz claimed his second win of the SMU Classic, earning a 408.25 on 3-meter. His performance earned him an NCAA Zone Cut and a spot at the NCAA Zone Diving Championships on March 9-11 in College Station, Texas.
100 Free
Facing his previous school, Auburn, Benjamin Chateigner threw down a time of 43.99 to place fourth in the 100 free. In the consolation heat, Sage Sungail ranked second, touching the wall in 43.57.
200 Fly
Ben Longeway recorded a 1:48.53 in the 200 fly, finishing fifth. Jack Forrest put up a time of 1:52.18 in the consolation heat.
200 IM
In the 200 IM, Mikelsons touched the wall in 1:51.20 to finish fifth. Baklanov posted a 1:49.40 in the consolation heat.
200 Free Relay
In the final event of the meet, the team of Sage Sungail, Benjamin Chateigner, Jack Berube and Francis Brennan threw down a 1:20.45 to finish fifth.
