DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Swimming and Diving kicked off their annual invite on Wednesday at the Robson and Lindley Aquatics Center, highlighted by freshman Francis Brennan claiming his first NCAA Standard.

Notable Results
200 Medley Relay
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Thad Austin, Trey Clervi, Nico Sobenes and Harold Lockhart touched the wall in 1:24.51, claiming second. Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Sage Sungail and Benjamin Chateigner nabbed third with a time of 1:24.80.
In an exhibition, the squad of Andy Baklanov, Ben Longeway, Cameron Thompson and Eli Likins recorded a time of 1:26.75.
800 Free Relay
SMU earned an NCAA provisional standard thanks to the 800 free relay performance from Francis Brennan, Benjamin Chateigner, Jack Forrest and Sage Sungail. The team posted a time of 6:16.30 to take second place.
With his 1:33.92 split in the relay, Brennan earned an additional NCAA Standard, marking a first for the freshman.
Coming in sixth, the squad of Jack Berube, Eli Likins, Aubrey Jaya and Jack Moore threw down a time of 6:22.49. In an exhibition, Andy Baklanov, Harold Lockhart, Leonardo Pelaez and Ben Longeway finished in 6:24.43.

The Mustangs will continue the SMU Invite on Thursday, Nov. 19, holding preliminary heats at 10 a.m. and finals heats at 5 p.m.
