DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Men's Tennis swept Virginia Tech 4-0 at the Styslinger / Altec Tennis Complex on Friday.
The Mustangs were dominant from the first serve, winning two straight doubles and three singles matches to secure their highest-ranked win of the season against the No. 43-ranked Hokies.
The win was the program's first ACC win as the Mustangs improved to 12-10 through the season.

Xavier Calvelo clinched the point with a win over Victor Kimpel and Eyal Shumilov (6-2).
Trevor Svajda improved his singles winning streak to four with a win over Maxime St. Hilaire (6-1, 6-0) to extend the SMU's lead.
Jerry Barton made it 3-0 for SMU by defeating Ilyas Fahim (6-2, 6-3) and Georgiev clinched the Mustangs' win by taking down Patrik Jurina (6-4, 6-3).
