MATOSINHOS, Portugal (SMU) – SMU Women's Basketball guard Mailien Rolf will represent Germany at the 2025 FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket tournament.

The tournament will be held in Matosinhos, Portugal, from August 2 to 10. The Group Phase will take place over the first three days, followed by a rest day on August 5. The final Group games will determine the seedings for the Round of 16 stage based on their position.

The competition will continue in the form of a bracket until the Final on August 10, with Classification Games also determining each of the 16 positions.

Germany is in Group B with Slovenia, Portugal, and France and begins group play facing Slovenia on August 2 at 2:30 pm.

A native of Roßdorf, Germany, Rolf is no stranger to the EuroBasket tournament, having competed for Germany at the 2024 tournament. She appeared in seven games and averaged 5.3 points and 8.7 rebounds as the team finished fourth.

Rolf has played on several FIBA tournament teams for Germany over the past four years, including the 2023 FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B, where the team placed second and at the 2022 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, where the team placed fourth.

The sophomore enters her first season on the Hilltop after spending last season at Arizona, where she appeared in 31 games with 14 starts and averaged 3.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
