DALLAS (DCTF/SMU) – Several Mustangs earned midseason accolades from Dave Campbell's Texas Football's on Tuesday.
The publication named six SMU players to the All-Texas Midseason Team.
Addison Nichols, Marques White and Yamir Knight were first-team selections.
Nichols has been a staple at right guard this year for the Mustangs, helping lead one of the most explosive offenses in college football.
White has enjoyed a breakout season for SMU, leading the team with 4.5 sacks and earning ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors earlier this month.
Knight continues his great play, leading the team in receptions (35) and yards (415).
The second team was highlighted by Alexander Kilgore, Kendrick Raphael and PJ Williams. Kilgore leads the team in tackles with 35 through six games. Raphael has been stellar in his debut campaign with the Mustangs, leading the team in rushing with 537 yards and six touchdowns. Williams has been as advertised, earning ACC Lineman of Week honors earlier in the year while helping power the line up front.
