ATLANTA (SMU) – Sophomore
Luke Sitz secured a bronze medal on 3-meter on the second day of competition at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Swimming & Diving Championships, recording his second consecutive season with multiple ACC Championship podium finishes.
In the 3-meter finals, the diver posted a score of 420.60 to finish third. The All-American's performance was highlighted by his Forward 4 1/2 Somersault Tuck, earning him a 91.20 mark for the dive.
On the previous day of competition, Sitz recorded a score of 429.75 on 1-meter, destroying the previous school record of 407.25, which was set by Bryce Klein in 2016. The Texas native became SMU's first-ever individual ACC Champion.
At the 2025 ACC Championships, Sitz took home two medals, a bronze on 1-meter and a silver on 3-meter.
Freshman
Grant Cates and
RJ Snyder made their ACC Championship debuts on 3-meter. In the preliminary round, Cates finished 31st with a score of 274.65. Placing 38th, Snyder recorded a mark of 250.75.
