Day Three Results
ATLANTA (SMU) – The SMU men's swimming and diving team wrapped up the third day of competition at the ACC Swimming & Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center, earning a qualifying NCAA standard in the 800 free relay, two new school records and a top-10 finish on platform by Grant Cates.
Through the third day of competition, the Mustangs currently rank fifth with a team score of 186.

Notable Results
Platform Diving
Freshman Grant Cates finished ninth on platform after scoring a 315.45 in the preliminary round. The performance was a top-10 finish for the Indiana native, his highest showing at the 2026 ACC Championships.
RJ Snyder also competed on platform, posting a mark of 267.10 to place 23rd.
200 Medley Relay
The relay squad of Jack Berube, Kristaps Mikelsons, Sage Sungail and Harold Lockhart touched the wall in 1:24.72, placing ninth overall.
800 Free Relay
The team of Francis Brennan, Jack Forrest, Sage Sungail and Harold Lockhart finished sixth after throwing down a time of 6:11.47. The performance earned the squad an NCAA qualifying relay cut and new school record. Their time demolished the previous record of 6:14.24, which was set last season by Jack Hoagland along with Forrest, Sungail and Lockhart.
Brennan's 200 free lead-off marked a new school record of 1:32.31, breaking the previous record of 1:32.47 set by Jack Hoagland in 2024.
