CHARLOTTE, N.C. (SMU) - Two members of the SMU women's golf team were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Monday.   

Representing the Mustangs are rising senior Celine Chin and recent graduate Emily Odwin. The duo was recognized for their excellence both on the court and in the classroom throughout the 2025-26 academic year.  

Chin, a Sport Management major, earns All-ACC Academic Team recognition following a career season with the Mustangs, during which she recorded her lowest scoring average. Odwin, also a Sport Management major, collected her second career ACC Academic Team honor after a senior campaign that also saw her earn All-ACC honors.   

The All-ACC Academic Team recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in both academics and athletics. To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average for both the previous semester and cumulative academic career, be enrolled at their institution for at least one academic year and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's contests.
