DALLAS (AP/SMU) – The SMU Football Team opened the year No. 19 in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 Poll on Monday.

The 19th ranking marks two straight years the Mustangs have opened the preseason in the AP top 20.

SMU came in at No. 20 in the US LBM Preseason Coaches Poll released earlier this month.
