KANSAS CITY, Mo. (United Soccer Coaches/SMU) – SMU Men's Soccer was ranked No. 15 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll as announced by the association on Tuesday.
Four ACC teams were ranked within the top 25. NC State is No. 2, Stanford was picked No. 9 and Virginia was picked No. 11, while North Carolina and Duke received votes.
In its third ACC campaign, SMU will face four teams in the preseason top 25. The Mustangs will face No. 4 Saint Louis (Aug. 24), No. 25 Kansas City (Sept. 4), No. 2 NC State (Sept. 18) and No. 9 Stanford (Oct. 16).
The 2025 ACC champions will play two home exhibition matches against Oral Roberts (Aug. 7) and Tulsa (Aug. 14) before kicking off their 2026 season against Stetson at home on Aug. 20.
