BALTIMORE (SMU) - Randy Pittman Jr. has been named to The John Mackey Award 2026 Preseason Watch List, announced on Wednesday.
The watchlist recognizes the nation's top tight ends entering the 2026 college football season. It represents programs from every level of major college football and highlights players who have demonstrated talent, leadership and potential heading into the upcoming season.
The senior transfer gained All-ACC Honorable Mention honors last season. He recorded 23 receptions for 208 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Pittman Jr. also tallied three rushing touchdowns on the year while becoming just third Seminole history to record one rushing, passing and receiving touchdown in one game.Â
Presented annually to the most outstanding tight end in college football, the John Mackey Award honors the legacy of Pro Football Hall of Famer John Mackey. Established in 2000 by the Nassau County Sports Commission, the award remains one of college football's premier individual honors for the tight end position.
