Josh Nash arrived on the Hilltop in 2022 as the assistant director of football operations at SMU after spending the previous three seasons as the director of football operations at UC Davis. He was elevated to Senior Director of Football Operations prior to the 2023 season.
 
Nash also made stops at Drake University serving as assistant offensive line coach and in operations, and at Washington as a director of basketball operations graduate assistant.
 
He has also worked operations for the Crossover Class (2020) and Baha Mar Showdown (2019) with Complete Sports Management, served as a football operations assistant at Kirby Smart Football Camps (2018) and was a director of football operations intern with ESPN for the Bahamas Bowl.
 
Nash graduated from Concordia University of Chicago in 2017, and majored in business communications with a sports management minor. He was a four-year letterwinner, special teams captain and a member of the Academic Honor Roll all four seasons. Named the Cougar Challenge team captain, Nash led a team of 10 with community service and academic achievement. He also created a scholarship fund with Northwestern Mutual to be given to a Student-Athlete at Concordia. Nash went on to earn a Masters of Education in intercollegiate athletic leadership from the University of Washington in 2018.
