Entering his fourth year at the Hilltop in 2025, Bryan Filker assumes a new role as the Director of Recruiting Operations, marking his fourth consecutive position within the institution.

His journey began as a College Scouting Assistant in 2022, followed by a role as a Player Personnel GA in 2023, and then Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations in 2024.

Prior to his transition to collegiate athletics, Filker gained valuable experience as a scouting and analytics intern with The 33rd Team, a distinguished football think tank, comprising of current and former NFL coaches, players, and scouts. In this capacity, he assessed NFL Draft prospects through film study, play charting, statistical analysis, and live evaluations. Additionally, Filker contributed to professional football as a Texas area scout for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers and served as a NFL liaison for the East West Shrine Bowl. Filker served with distinction in the United States Air Force for four years, specializing in F-22 intelligence with the 525 Fighter Squadron in JBER Alaska.

Filker's academic accomplishments reflect a continuous pursuit of excellence across multiple disciplines. In 2025, he earned a Master of Science in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Organizational Dynamics from Southern Methodist University, graduating with honors. This followed the completion of a Master of Science in Sports Administration from American Military University in 2024. In 2023, he also earned a Master of Science in Sport Management from SMU.

His undergraduate studies culminated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from American Military University, where he graduated summa cum laude. Filker’s academic journey began with an Associate of Applied Science in Intelligence Studies and Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2020.
