Mark Romero is an assistant athletic trainer with primary responsibility of the healthcare of the SMU Equestrian team. He began at SMU in 2024 as a certified intern athletic trainer with the men's and women's swim and dive program.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Master of Athletic Training degrees from Saint Louis University. During his time at SLU Mark had clinical rotations with Washington University in St. Louis, SMU Football, and full year rotation with Saint Louis University Men's Basketball.

Mark is originally from Pojoaque, New Mexico and currently resides in Dallas, Texas. In his free time he likes to watch baseball and go on side quests.
