SMU Athletics

PRE-SMU: Kumar hails from Lausanne, Switzerland where she was the only child of Guarav Kumar and Hazel Liddle. She chose SMU because it offers an amazing blend of academic and athletic opportunities. The campus is wonderful, and the practice facilities are top-notch. She loved that the golf program at SMU has a tight-knit and talented team. The coaches are passionate and ambitious and genuinely care about her growth on and off the course. SMU was the perfect place to pursue her studies and improve her golf game.
 
Kumar has been a part of the Swiss National Team for the past two years. She was honored to represent her country  and has learned so much from coaches and teammates. She’s played in many tournaments across Europe and has enjoyed competing on different types of courses  at the highest junior amateur level.

She attended Gymnase Auguste Piccard in Lausanne, Switzerland and golfed at Golf Club de Lausanne. Kumar also is a keen skier.
