Summer 2019: Shot an even par 73 to win the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association Women's Amateur.

2018-19 (Fr.): Competed in four events … played 12 rounds … tallied a scoring average of 76.58 … posted a season low round of 70 … best finish was a T-28 at the Golfweek Challenge … AAC All-Academic Team

PREP: Shady Side Academy's Katie James was a top-ranked junior tennis player before taking up golf at age 15. Less than two years later, she won the HJGT Kiawah Island Junior and added victories in the HJGT Major Championship at Birdsfoot and the Cleveland Classic. This summer she posted a top-five finish in the AJGA Junior at Purgatory, Indiana. 

As a senior at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, Katie shot the low score in the Pennsylvania 3A high school tournament and led her team to the 2016-17 state championship. James is a great competitor, posting seven top-three finishes and 14 top-5 finishes in her 20 tournament starts.
