Cavan Holds Media Luncheon

Dallas, Texas -- SMU football head coach Mike Cavan held his media luncheon Monday as the Mustangs prepare their last road trip of the year, as they play Fresno State Saturday
The following are quotes from the media luncheon.
Head Coach Mike Cavan on last week's win against Tulsa:
"We played as hard as we played all year. They were relaxed and played hard."
On the Tulsa game:
"It was a great effort. The guys focused on what they were doing, and you can't ask for more than that."
"Defensively, so many people stepped up and played well. Up front, we got great pressure. Offensively, Kris Briggs played well. John Hampton is a quality tight end, and performed well. Josh McCown was a lot calmer than he has been in the past, and that helped."
On playing Fresno State:
"They are one of the best teams we've seen this year on film."
"They have a big offensive line, their quarerback is athletic, and they are really good on defense. They are a solid football team."
"Playing out there, its a really hostile place to play. Which should be fun."
"I think our kids will respond and go out and play hard. It will be a challenge. We need to go out there and relax and play hard."

Quarterback Josh McCown on the Tulsa win:

On learning from watching on the sidlines the prior two games:
