SMU Continues Preparations for Tulsa

Dallas, Texas -- The SMU football team had a 60 minute workout this afternoon at the SMU practice fields.
"Both McCown and Page have been given the opportunity to step up and take the position," said coach Mike Cavan. "Neither quarterback has separated himself from the other, so it will come down to who makes the best reads and plays during practice."
The team, both offensively and defensively, worked primarily in seven-on-seven drills today. Both quarterbacks, juniors David Page and Josh McCown made several long completions, hooking up with sophomore receivers Billy Ford, Chris Cunningham, and Johnnie Freeman.
The Mustangs will be at home this weekend for a matchup with Tulsa. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. Tickets are still available through the SMU ticket office.
